Ham Aur Chhaya

HAM AUR CHHAYA is a series where I documented a girl who lives with her family under a tree in the village Thua. I saw her playing with her stuff and sitting along side her family. I went there several times while shooting our film in village, so I thought of documenting her because it seemed to me that they had a small world of their own in which they cooked, ate ,slept, played, they did everything our normal families do but just at one place under the tree. Initially they were not comfortable with the camera but after meeting them and making them familiar with the lens and even seeing us around them while we shot our film , they got settled and were able to perform their daily activities without hesitation which helped me in documenting them in a better way.
