"Taxi to Haridwar" is a deeply emotional and introspective film that follows an NRI woman who returns to her hometown after her father's sudden death to perform the ritual of "Asthi Pravah" in Haridwar. As she embarks on this symbolic journey, she engages in imagined conversations with her taxi driver, who she later discovers is a manifestation of her late father, also a taxi driver. Through these poignant and compassionate exchanges, she navigates the unspoken words and unresolved issues that plagued their relationship, confronting her deep-seated regrets. The film poignantly portrays her journey through the five stages of grief—Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance—culminating in a bittersweet revelation that offers both solace and sorrow as she realizes the reconciliation she yearned for can never be fulfilled. This touching narrative captures the intricacies of loss, regret, and the path to finding peace.
