Parda

"Parda" is a raw portrayal of human trafficking's horrors, underlining the strength and resilience of those ensnared in its web, and advocating for awareness and change in the face of an unimaginable ordeal. The story unfolds with Pooja, a survivor of trafficking, who encounters a young girl ensnared in the same cruel cycle. Amidst desperate moments, Pooja succeeds in rescuing the girl. While escaping with the little girl, she witnesses her entire past life in front of her eyes and how her futile efforts to escape went all in vein. She was forcibly returned to the clutches of a merciless madam who runs a brothel, subjecting her to further suffering. As time passes, Pooja discovers she is pregnant, intensifying her determination to shield her unborn child from the same harrowing fate. Returning back to the present, the film concludes as they stand on the brink of escape leaving their ultimate fate hanging in the balance.
